Last updated: June 18, 2026

Minuit API ("we", "us", or "our") operates the API service available at minuitapi.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. By accessing or using our API, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and billing information.

API Usage Data: We log API requests including timestamps, endpoint called, response codes, latency, and token counts. We do not log prompt content or generated output by default.

Technical Data: IP addresses, browser/client type, and device identifiers for security and abuse prevention purposes.

Communications: If you contact us via email or Telegram, we retain those communications to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the API service
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To monitor usage for billing accuracy and rate limiting
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To send transactional emails (invoices, alerts, service notices)
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your prompts or generated content to train our models.

3. Data Retention

API request logs (excluding content) are retained for 90 days for debugging and billing purposes. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for 30 days after account deletion, after which it is permanently purged. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle billing — governed by their own privacy policies
  • Infrastructure providers for hosting and CDN services, under data processing agreements
  • Law enforcement when required by applicable law or valid legal process

5. GDPR Rights (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. Where we transfer data from the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. We are SOC 2 Type II certified. However, no system is completely secure — please use strong API key hygiene and rotate keys regularly.

8. Cookies

Our API does not use cookies. Our website (minuitapi.com) uses essential cookies for session management and analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
